UTEE Power and Mount Board Pack (TT0037)
I have put together a kit so you can do your own tiles which are stunning and can take your cards to a new dimension. I have included 100 gms of Ultra Thick Embossing Powder (yes thats right - 100 gms!) and 8 pieces of C6 coloured mount board (the mount board is in assorted colours but I cannot guarantee which colours you will receive).
Sometimes this technique is called triple embossing, but it is usually done with stamps and a lot of messing about. The way I do it is to take one self-adhesive tile, cut round the edge, peel off the backing and stick it onto a piece of mount board. Then cut round the tile leaving a small border to frame the tile. I then use an embossing inkpad (clear) to coat the tile and then dip the tile in the thick embossing powder. Using a heat tool I then melt the embossing powder on the tile and as soon as it has melted I put it straight back into the powder, I usually do this 3 times in all until the coating reaches the stage where it looks exactly like glass. leave it to cool (only a minute or two) and you have a stunning little embellishment.
The embossing powder is a good size to get you started it is 100 gms (which is roughly 4 ozs for those of you still on old measurements) and if you know your prices you will know that it is a good deal. UTEE powder is also available separately if you want a top up pack. Mount Board is also available separately.
You will need a heat gun/tool to achieve the technique and it is also a good idea to have a heat resistant sheet, the sheets are available from most supermarkets in the baking section.
